You need the following documents to open a Demat account with Navjeevan online:
- Your PAN Card
- Your Aadhar (if you do not want to use your Aadhar details then you can open your account using our offline process)
- You must make sure that you have your mobile number linked to your Aadhar (mandatorily). You will have to authenticate with an OTP to complete the e-Sign process.
- Cancelled cheque/Bank Statement to link your bank account.
- A photo or scanned copy of your signature proof.
- Income Proof – It is required by exchange to submit income proof if you wish to trade in Futures and Options – Equity, Commodity, and Currency. You can upload any one of the below documents.
- Form-16
- Income Tax Return Acknowledgement
- 6-month Bank Statement
- Latest Salary Slip
- Demat holding statement or
- Net worth certificate from a CA

Power of Attorney (POA) is a document that gives broker the authorization to debit your shares from your Demat account whenever you sell your shares.
If you do not give authorization to broker, then you will be able to place delivery sell instructions by using CDSL TPIN if you have an individual account.

For an account to open online at Navjeevan, it generally takes 1-2 hours for your account to be activated. If there any discrepancies in the submitted application, then it will delay the account opening process.
Once your application has been verified, you would receive a welcome email from ‘noreply@navjeevanbroking.com’ to your registered email address. This email will also contain your User ID and password.
You cannot open a trading account without opening a demat account with us.
Following reasons are why it is important to open a Demat Account with us:
- Open Equity intraday positions can go into delivery if the position is not closed before the end of the day. These shares are required to be settled to your Demat account.
- All Stock F&O contracts are being settled physically, which requires the stocks to be settled to a Demat account in case of taking delivery position and debited from the Demat account for giving delivery positions.
