My xbox controller recently disconnected and won’t connect with the reason being that there is a driver error. When I go on device manager it shows it next to a yellow triangle with and exclamation mark errro windows 10 xbox one controller driver error free words a warning sign.

Both controllers connect perfectly well to my xbox, the wireless one also connects to my phone which means it is definately something wrong with my laptop.
