At Hoffmann Architects, he supports condition assessment, design development, document preparation, and contract administration for projects in the greater New York City area. With over 25 years of sales and management experience, Bob has worked in various capacities, including 18 years within the AEC industry.
His role with Hoffmann Architects is to identify, develop, and maintain client relationships across southern New England, focusing predominantly on healthcare, higher education and independent schools, and corporate facilities. In his free time, Bob performs regularly with a couple of horn bands, playing trumpet and flugel horn. In addition, he enjoys classic cars, motorcycles, water skiing, snow skiing, fishing, and spending time with his wife, two kids and their dog. Cathy brings a wealth of experience in marketing, communications, and advertising to her role supporting administrative, technical, communications, and business development colleagues in all three offices.
While earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rachael received many honors, from faculty awards and scholarships to commendations for leadership and design.
She sought out varied internship experiences in private practice, academic research, and government agencies, working in New York, Connecticut, and Washington DC.
She is currently pursuing an M. She oversees sales, business development, public relations, and marketing initiatives company-wide. Under her leadership, the business development and marketing team establishes connections, develops project strategies, explores new markets, and maintains active participation in industry organizations.
With Hoffmann Architects since the s, Ann-Marie is one of the longest-serving employees. The friendly face of the firm, she answers calls, greets visitors and clients, manages correspondence and filing, provides administrative training for new staff, and keeps the office in good working order. Her work includes processing invoices, reviewing expenses, monitoring outstanding accounts, processing timesheets and expense reports, and maintaining filing documentation.
Fluent in Albanian and Turkish, she studied the diverse architectural landmarks in each place she has lived, from the Byzantine churches of Europe to the skyscrapers of Manhattan. Now in Connecticut, she brings her experience in research, project team collaboration, and design to building enclosure projects at a wide range of facilities.
Outside the office, Senada enjoys paper crafting and drawing with her young son and spending time with her toddler daughter. Her third child arrived in July Rob holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in construction management from Pratt Institute, which affords him a pragmatic approach to the logistical and technical considerations of building envelope projects.
Drawing from his internship, educational, and freelance experience, as well as his extensive design software skills, Rob provides drafting, field work, and document development support to the New York office. Rob has worked on more than 40 projects with Hoffmann Architects, including restoration and replacement of facades, roofs, and historic windows, as well as water infiltration investigation and plaza rehabilitation. Outside the office, Rob is an avid photographer, and he shares his striking images of New York life and culture on his Instagram robfraguada.
He is also fluent in Spanish and an accomplished soccer player. Kelsey brings several years of experience in all aspects of design through construction to her role as part of the Connecticut technical team.
An accomplished architectural designer with an eye for details, Kelsey manages projects, develops plans and detail drawings, reviews submittals, performs field work, and prepares documentation for building envelope rehabilitation projects. She also enjoys cooking, skiing, drawing and painting, photography, and traveling. Craig manages the resources of the New York City office.
Under his direction, project teams consistently deliver technically demanding rehabilitation solutions on time and within budget. With a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana, Beth has an educational background that combines modern material science with historic preservation. Outside work, Beth enjoys gardening, reading to her children, knitting, playing the accordion, and taking adventure hikes with her family.
With a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the University of Arizona, Alison is the single point of contact for all official corporate communication.

John is the founder of Hoffmann Architects. He received his architecture degree from the City College of New York. In , he was elevated to fellowship in the American Institute of Architects AIA for significant contribution to the field of architecture.
He oversees resource allocation and contract administration to maintain budget and scheduling objectives. Both a licensed structural engineer and a registered architect, he brings experience and technical wherewithal to complex structural challenges.
A civil engineering graduate of the University of Connecticut, Larry has been solving design problems in garages, facades, and plazas with Hoffmann Architects for more than 20 years, garnering two patents in the process. Erin applies her architecture degree from Roger Williams University to the investigation and remediation of building envelope problems. Her leadership in mentoring emerging design professionals and overseeing company drafting and technical standards promotes achievement and consistency firm-wide.
Juan is responsible for the diagnosis and resolution of building system distress. In nearly 25 years with the firm, he has been recognized for his expertise by both Spanish and English publications, and his projects have garnered industry accolades, including the Lucy G. Guiding employees in navigating benefits election, training, and personnel relations, Cindy is responsible for overseeing recruiting, hiring, and retention, as well as for administering benefits and compensation, providing management coaching, and improving job satisfaction and employee engagement for the entire staff.
Outside the office, Cindy enjoys gardening, beach vacations, and spending time with her young son. A civil engineering graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, Tai is a Professional Engineer licensed in NY, NJ and CT and leads project teams in research, design development, detail drawing, report preparation, and construction administration.
His experience in building science and performance offers valuable perspective for the evaluation and rehabilitation of exterior envelope conditions and design of new facade systems. With a degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University, he brings insight into technical matters that has proven vital to the investigation and rehabilitation of building distress.
Rob draws on his extensive experience treating a range of building systems, materials, and conditions to provide well-thought-out and detailed solutions to encountered problems. In his free time, Rob enjoys taking trips up the coast with family, playing golf, and applying his engineering skills to one new project or another in his yard.
While earning an architecture degree from Syracuse University, Melissa interned at prestigious New York design firms, developing skills in design development, drawing, document preparation, bidding assistance, and contract administration. She studied architecture in Florence, Italy and participated in service, outreach, and leadership programs that helped shape the architecture program at her alma matter.
An officer of the firm, Rachel is a skilled and diligent financial administrator. As Corporate Secretary, she maintains documentation in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, coordinates and documents shareholder and Board of Directors meetings, processes share transactions and stock transfers, maintains business insurance, executes corporate filings and reports, and keeps official records.
An honors graduate of Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, Rachel contributes her experience in finance and administration to meeting the financial record-keeping and reporting needs of the firm. Given the technologically-driven nature of the profession, Nick plays a critical role at Hoffmann Architects: he directs, plans, implements, troubleshoots and maintains all computing systems for the firm.
Nick oversees technology partner relationships, including software, cloud, and DataCom service providers. He also governs all facets of network and cyber security, as well as coordinates and administers staff technology training.
In his free time, Nick is a devoted hockey coach, parent, player, and fan, as well as an avid gardener. He has been making his own homemade wine for over 20 years. Dave develops training programs to support the technical staff in achieving consistent, precise drawings that provide clear information to the project team. He reviews all outgoing projects to verify that documents meet the exacting graphic standards of Hoffmann Architects.
In collaboration with the information technology manager, he provides technical support and assists in hardware and software rollouts and upgrades. Proficient in various architectural and graphic software programs, Dave works closely with the IT manager to provide technical support, evaluate and develop new software and infrastructure, and identify innovative ways to use technology to meet the needs of the firm.
Outside work, Dave enjoys playing roller hockey, woodworking, playing the bass, working out, and walking his two goldens. With a focus in historic preservation, and expertise in traditional and modern facade, roofing, and window systems, Richard oversees architectural and engineering teams complete numerous multi-million-dollar exterior investigation, rehabilitation and restoration projects throughout the New York metropolitan area.
As an architecture research fellow in Southeast Asia and South America, he has a background in dense urban environments. Outside the office, Richard loves traveling, especially to other countries, and does so as often as possible. He has been to 17 different counties so far, on 4 different continents. Spain is his current favorite country, and he has been there 5 times with many more trips planned!
He loves it for the diversity of its landscapes, architecture, history, and cultural traditions. Richard also really loves dogs, especially beagles.
Rachel applies her broad experience in engineering and preservation to the diagnosis and resolution of building envelope distress, as well as to the development of design details in consultation for new construction. Donna is responsible for all financial and accounting activities of the firm, from client and payroll account processing to financial reporting.
With a degree in accounting from American International College, Donna brings nearly 30 years of senior-level finance experience to her role in keeping the books and providing critical financial information to guide company decisions.
With experience in the complete design-through-construction process, Merlyn has the technical and people skills to see projects to successful outcomes. She develops on-budget, on-schedule drawings and specifications, and she evaluates contractor submittals and coordinates among diverse trades to verify code compliance and conformance with client expectations.
